It is our belief that the "team" effort of a Parent - Teacher organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children.
Once a month, Parents, teachers, staff coming together to discuss our school and potential experiences our PTO may fund or offer our children. This year’s PTO is making sure that all parents are aware of what we do and the importance of why we do it. You do not have to commit to anything. We will not force you to volunteer or attend meetings. It is all AT-WILL. But as everyone knows, the more opinions and voices, the better ideas that will be brought to the table for discussion.

The PTO is responsible for hosting great family events and activities throughout the school year. Events such as the Fall Festival, the Spring Fling, and the Talent Show provide opportunities for families to socialize and become a part of our school community in addition to encouraging the social and emotional development of Ardmore students. The success of these events and activities depends on parent involvement and participation as volunteers.
Whether you help at an activity during an event, help prepare from your home, or join one of our many committees, your time contributes to the success of our students.
As always, all profits are used to benefit the students at Ardmore School.
If interested in joining a committee for a particular event email: ArdmorePTO1@gmail.com for more info.

Interested in learning more about the PTO but unsure where to start? Check out the most commonly asked questions and answers below.
Q. What is the PTO?
A. The PTO is a group of parents/caregivers, teachers, and administrators who seek to foster close relationships between the home and the school and provide volunteer and financial support for parents and teachers to work cooperatively in the development and education of children at Mitchell Elementary School.
Q. How can I join the PTO?
If you're the caregiver of a Mitchell student, you are already a member! You do not need to do anything to join and are welcome to tune into a meeting, spearhead a committee, or run for the executive board!
Q. When and where are the PTO meetings?
A. The PTO meetings are currently held the fourth Monday of each month at 6:00pm, but the day and time will vary by year. You will be able to find the date and time of each meeting, along with the meeting link in the weekly PTO emails. They are always accessible by Zoom or sometimes in-person at Mitchell. At this time, childcare is not available.
Q. What are some of the benefits of being involved in the PTO?
You will get to meet other parents, have a say on issues that matter to you about the school, and be informed on the latest happenings.
You will also have the opportunity to to use your skills to enhance Mitchell Elementary, whether that be through event planning, fundraising, brainstorming, gardening, and more!
Q. How do I join the executive board?
A. Executive board roles are voted on each spring. To learn more about the position duties, visit the "About PTO" page
Q. How do I learn more about committee chairs?
A. To nominate yourself, please fill out this form. For more info on each committee position, visit the "Flyers and Forms" page
Q. I don't have a lot of time. If I come to a meeting will I have to get involved?
A. No! Volunteering for committees, events, and the executive board is totally voluntary. You're welcome to come and listen. We would love to see you there!
Q. Are there ways I can help without holding a position?
A. Yes! We are always in need of volunteers for events and school functions throughout the year. Those opportunities will be communicated with the school via email, social media, and at the PTO meetings.
Ardmore Dad's Club (PTO subgroup)
We are fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father figures of Ardmore students. Under the leadership of a program coordinator and the guidance of the school principal, the Alpha Squad is a new subdivision of the PTO.
There are 2 primary goals of the ALPHA SQUAD.
To provide more positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.
To provide extra sets of eyes and ears so teachers and students can focus on learning
